LAA accident insurance
Compulsory accident insurance covers employees for occupational and non-occupational accidents (from 8 hours’ work per week with the same employer), as well as the self-employed on an optional basis, after a waiting period of 3 days.
The maximum insured salary is CHF 148,200.
Outpatient treatment, medication and care benefits are covered by the LAA/UVG.
In the event of incapacity for work as a result of an accident, the LAA covers salary up to 80% of the last short-term salary and 90% of the last long-term income.
Death benefits
In the event of death resulting from an accident, the LAA/UVG provides survivors with a pension of :
- 40% of insured salary for spouse
- 15% for orphans (25% for orphans of both parents).
- Maximum 70% for all survivors.
- If an AVS or AI pension is paid, a supplementary pension of up to 90% of the last income is insured.
LAA-C supplementary accident insurance
Supplementary accident insurance covers what the LAA/UVG does not.
Whether it’s hospitalization in a semi-private or private ward, or natural medicines, LAA-C is an essential complement to your needs.
This supplement also covers a waiting period of 3 days, paying an indemnity for the first 2 days and covering the remaining 20% of the insured salary.
Salaries in excess of CHF 148,200 are also insured, and lump-sum payments in the event of death or disability can be added.
